Charles Chvala
Charles Chvala (born December 5, 1954) is a Wisconsin politician and legislator.
Born in Merrill, Wisconsin, Chvala graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and received his law degree there. In 1983, he served in the Wisconsin State Assembly as a Democratic lawmaker. He served in the Wisconsin State Senate from 1985 until his indictment in 2003.〔Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau (comp.). ''(State of Wisconsin 2007-2008 Blue Book )''. On October 17, 2002 he was charged with 20 felony counts, including extortion, misconduct in public office and filing false reports with the state Elections Board.
